There was a 1 5 km looped trail leading alongside the canyon and over a series of foot bridges with some inclines on the way up but still an easy trail. Marble canyon is located in kootenany national park. This is a really beautiful area and a nice easy walk for the family with some beautiful scenery to go along with it. We visited in april and there was snow on the ground but the water was a flowing and a beautiful turquoise color. Marble canyon parking lot 89 km north of radium hot springs.
Limestone gorge burnt forest many small mammals. 8 4 km return 365 m elevation gain hike up to a stunning alpine basin and watch glacier meltwater tumble down massive rock walls. I stopped here on september 24 2020. This accessible trail is one of the best easy hikes in kootenay national park passing through the deep dramatic marble canyon.
